This picture was my first quiz in my multimedia class. To create this image I had to use all the skills I have been taught in the class since school began. I think that my skills were really put to the test because I needed to remember how to use each tool and I had to think for myself on how to create the picture instead of the teacher telling us the steps we need to do. I think the biggest challenge was putting everything exactly in the place it had to be in. I ended up moving the buildings around many times until I felt it looked right. For me to accomplish this picture I had to use practically all the tools I have learned to use. The one I used the most was probably the hue and saturation. I am happy with my final result because I didn’t know I had it in me to create a picture like this. Yes it took me a while but it was worth it.

The purpose of this assignment was to make a CD cover. To be able to accomplish this image I had to use the patch tool. The first thing I had to do was to get rid of the bees on the upper right so I could have more space to put the title of the CD. I did that by selecting the area around the bees I didn’t want and then using the patch tool to fix the empty spots. Then I typed the title and chose a color for the font. I personally felt that this assignment was easy compared to some of the other ones we have been doing. I think that my final work looks good and I think that I can use the patch tool a lot better now.

This assignment was a big challenge for me. I had to remove the piece of wood on top of the staircase and get rid of the ladder and all the junk on the bottom of the staircase. The main challenge was that I had to rebuilt the stairs that were covered by the piece of wood. I did that by using the clone tool. I cloned the stairs under and put them on the space where they were missing. You have to be very accurate when you do that because if you are sloppy with it, it won’t look realistic enough. I think that I could have tried a bit harder on this picture. It looks okay but I think if I had taken more time on it, it might look better. I need to practice doing more pictures like this one.

For this image we had to use three different tools. We used the clone tool, patch tool, and the healing brush tool. I think the part that was the hardest for me was using the patch tool to fix the tie because you have to be very accurate. I am very proud of the outcome of the picture.

To be able to use photoshop  you have to learn one thing at a time, and that is what I’m doing in my multimedia class. I have learned to add color to black and white images and how to add an image from one picture and put it on another. I feel pretty good about my finished work. It can be very confusing at first, but just like everything else, practice can really help. I think that the part I did the most well in was the coloring of the images. I have to work more on combining pictures.  I am looking forward to learning more tools in photoshop.

DSA has been fun since the beginning. I enjoy learning how to use photoshop and all the options it gives you to edit pictures. I’m looking forward to learning more in this class and having fun.
